The 2nd Annual PROSTaid Dragon Boat Race took place on Sunday the 8th June 2008 at the Riverside festival River Soar, Castle Gardens, Leicester. SinVision and Midlandphotography were there as official videographers and photographers of the day.

The event was organised by the great team at PROSTaid and run by the expert hands of Gable-Events.

The Dragon Boat Race was won by the Sturgess Paddle Masters so a big congratulations to them. To see a video clip of the final race please click below. The medal presentation and team photograph can be seen on the DVD.

SinVision arrived onsite early with the very professional team from Midlandphotography who were the official photographers of the event. There was enough time to setup the stand, plug in the special printer attached to the laptop where the images of the day's event could be viewed prior to the arrival of the first teams.

PROSTaid is a volutary team, founded originally in 2004 and, since 2006 working as an independent, registered charity (No 1116935) with a Committee, comprising principally of prostate cancer patients, their families & friends and members of the University Hospitals of Leicester, Urological Faculty. Video and photographs taken throughout the day were complimented with the glorious weather as the Dragon Boat Teams paddled up and down The River Soar infront of the clapping crowd that had gatherd to spectate.
