B&Q commisioned SinVision to film one of their biggest ongoing projects, namely the new £5 million Peterborough Warehouse which opened to the public on October 25 2007.

The film project actually began back in Aug 2007 where the main structure of the building was complete how ever the inside was still along way from completion and a flurry of activity was taking place by the hard working engineers.

The filming of the new B&Q Warehouse also included such activities as:-

Energisers - where team leaders meetup and bounce ideas and thoughts off each other.

Paintballing - Team bonding and great fun firing paint balls at each other. (A clip can be viewed here)

Dog Racing - Team bonding from a more personal point of view.

Nightshift - Showing the night shift team hard at work filling the shelves with products for the customer to buy.

Milton Keynes - 200 B&Q staff party to celebrate the launch of the new B&Q colours range.

Fantastic Fridays - A motivation based theme to gee up the members of staff and to get them working as a team.

Friends & family open day - A chance for the friends and families to see the new store.

The big open day - Final day of completion and the official open day was the 25 of October 2007.

Two camera's were actualy used in the filming of this event. A Canon XM2, and Canon XL1 both tripod mounted. I also used my tripod dolly fitted to tracks to give that smooth panning effect.

For the big open day SinVision hired in Alan Warner with his jimmy jib light and Sony Z1 camera which added to the overall feel of the completed 22 minute DVD. Three royalty and license free music was added to the DVD from The Corporate Selection from AKM.

The above video clip shows just a ten minute summary of the whole 22 minutes created for B&Q.

SinVision was also requested to design a artwork for their DVD and front cover, which be seen below. The front cover shows Peter Fahy, a very happy General manger standing infront of the new B&Q Warehouse.

A total of 280 watershield cello wrapped DVD's were created and presented to B&Q to pass on to 250 B&Q employees at the B&Q Xmas Ball on the 25 Nov 2007.
