The annual service of remembrance and wreath laying took place at the Loughborough War memorial on Sunday the 11th of November. Some 4,000 people attended this veryimportant time of the year to remember the fallen from wars past and present. SinVision used four camera's to capture the service so that a DVD could be produced as a keepsake for those who managed to attend or sadly missed this day of remembrance. Being an ex serving member of Her Majestys Forces for some 24 years this remembrance service is close to my heart so I have promised that for each DVD sold I will gladly donate £1 to the Poppy appeal. If you would like to purchase a DVD please either email or contact me directy. The DVD is available to purchase direct from myself for a price of £8 which includes pnp. Photographs were taken on the day by David Evans who works as a teacher at Loughborough Grammar school but is the photographer for Loughborough Endowed Schools.
The Loughborough remembrance service is the second largest parade of its type out side out London. Many organisations made up of the young and the elderly marched through Loughborough's centre to pay tribute at the war memorial. Due to the large number of people marching, the organsiations were placed into units. A special mention goes to the 1st Loughborough Boys & Girls Brigade band who led the first section of the parade and supplied the bugles for last post, reveille and sunset.
