SinVision was approached by Adrian Bramley the event organiser at the begining of 2008 to film the contestants way before the final event took place, this included each photoshoot, consultation evening with Matthew Charles of Blaby and the current Miss Blaby 2007 last charity event supporting Meningitis.

After the successful resurrection of the Miss Blaby competition 4 years ago, inevitably it has returned again. The competition organisers received numerous entries from all over the district of Blaby, making it difficult to select the finalists.

The Miss Blaby 2008 DVD running time is 1 hour 22 minutes and is priced at only £10.00 including postage and packing.  

The final took place on Thursday the 15th May at The Westfield House Hotel, Enderby Road to a full house.

The night was accompanied by a 3 course meal, entertainment from top vocalist, Claire Mac and a fashion show from George - ASDA with the latest styles.

This year saw the return of Sam and Amy from Heart 106 and Darren from The Drivetime Show as comperes.

Sam and Amy had to leave early due to being up at four in the morning for their show.

The winner of Miss Blaby 2008 was 17 year old Lori Harding who recieves £250, plus a range of prizes that add up to around £1,000, such as a hotel overnight stay including a meal for 2, a £50 beauty voucher, a 6 month health club membership, a model portfolio photo shoot, a clay pigeon shooting lesson worth £40, a £50 hair voucher, a £80 holiday voucher, £25 Chinese food voucher, champagne and a bouquet of flowers.

A Miss Blaby diary is being pieced together, allowing Lori to do things that she may never have done before or would probably be unlikely to have the chance to do again. Some of Lori's first official duties include opening the Blaby bowls club extension on Sunday 1st of June. The Blaby Gala on Saturday the 7th June, the Blaby Stokes School annual garden party on Saturday the 14th June and officially opening the A & L fun day on Saturday the 29th June at Carlton Park, Narborough.

The runner up Maddie receives £125 while Zoe in 3rd place recieved £50, both will also receive a selection of gifts.

All 11 competitors were judged on deportment, personality and their appearance.
