THE RAF ASSOCIATION

During the course of 2009 the RAF Association under took a major project to build a Remembrance Garden for The Royal Air Force to remember all of those people who had served their country and had served in the RAF. The opening event was graced with the presence of The Princess Royal and it was important that as an organisation that we capture the event for those members who were unable to attend.

Recommended to us by one of our equipment suppliers, we engaged David Sinclair from SinVision to film the event and to produce a DVD. From day one, we were absolutely delighted with the results that David produced for us, he was extremely professional throughout the whole of the event fitting in with some fairly difficult security arrangements that the Armed Forces and the Royal household insist on.The DVD that resulted was of high quality and completely tailored to our requirements.

VICTORY SHOW DVD 2009- COMMENTS

Just got round to playing the "Aviation" section of this Video, which arrived last week whilst we were away on holiday.  SinVision have done a good job in producing a well-made video. Most of the "Aviation" section is devoted to '558, with pieces to camera by Martin Withers, Robert Pleming, Mike Pollitt and Pat Bowyer, and shots of '558 doing her display & "Bombing Run". There are some good shots of '558's interior, and the interviews provide an interesting brief insight into the restoration process.
The rest of the "Aviation" section includes shots of the other aircraft appearing in the Show (Yes, Helen.......including nice one's of the Dakota!)as well as some VERY convincing model aircraft - SO convincing at times that it's difficult to see that they ARE models!
Well worth the money - some of which I understand is donated to TVOC.

I would like to reiterate everything Paul has said!!!

It's a great souvenir for those that attended, and is well worth the £10 for the Vulcan features alone!!!

The footage is excellent and superbly edited.

Can only echo that it's a very well produced dvd, and with £2 from each sale split between VTS and LOROS I'm amazed they can afford to sell it at the bargain price of £10! Also amazed they've still got over half unsold, anyone dithering over purchase, get in there and support a great event and worthwhile causes

Can only re-iterate what Mark has said - two very worthwhile charities.

We all know about 558 but LOROS do fantastic work. My Mum's cousin would have been lost without them and their support when he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.I can't believe they still have 274 copies available!!! This is a brilliant DVD at a VERY reasonable price!!!

Finally got around to watching this brilliant DVD. If you haven't bought it then you are missing a real treat. Well worth £10.

The filming is quite superb and the some of the music is quite haunting and tugs at the heartstrings. Flying sequences are fantastic

Helen, there is some lovely film of a Dakota.

I've watched this quite a lot of times. Even my Mum's sat through it all a couple of times. It's an excellent souvenir of an amazing day, and a great advertisement for next years show!!! I just wished I'd stopped over for the evening concert and the sunday!!!

After receiving a grant off the Big lottery Fund, so that we could hold a remembrance service within the walls of the Armed Forces Memorial at Alrewas. The band were very impressed with the video chapter of their performance. Probably the best we have seen to date. We have had some
professionally taken before but this one is the best. I know this may have been due to the circumstance that a lot of the main event was cancelled but for us to see all those numbers being played, in full, was a treat, We could see the good points of our performance along with the bad. Usually we just see snippets, being edited infill, between interviews with guests.
